Three years

It is absolutely incredible to think that it was three years ago that I held my sweet girl for the first time :)

What joy she has brought to our family!

We celebrated with lunch together at P@nda Express and a gift for my sweet girl... a silver baby bracelet like the ones she wore in China.  I have to laugh, because in my first photos of her she wore them on her ankles, and we could not figure out what they were, and we wondered if she were tied to her stroller. No... she was loved ; ) Beyond what we could have hoped or dreamed for... an incredible blessing from God! In the time between receiving her referral and traveling to China, we prayed constantly for our sweet girl, that someone at her orphanage would notice her and take a special interest in her, so that she would be cared for and loved, hoping that she might receive a little bit of special attention while she waited for us, and God?? Well, He came through in a way that was bigger than we knew to ask or dream or hope for. Isn't that just like Him??? It turned out that she was in foster care, and came to us ready to love and be loved... a gift hidden forever in her heart, the gift of love and nurturing was clearly given to her. I'm so grateful I have the joy and privilege to be the recipient of that precious precious gift!

We talked about getting a special cupcake on the way home, and when I asked my little miss if she still wanted to she said yes, she wanted to get a cupcake for me. I asked if she wanted one to share, and she said no, it was for me because they love me.... made my heart melt!
