Letters

I printed some practice sheets for Sadie so that she could work on her letters a little bit. Lissi wanted some too of course ;)

 

So far, Sadie's writing is improving nicely as she goes to school and practices, but  her letter recognition just isn't there yet. I think it will start coming soon, she had her first solid letter connection the other day when we were having a conversation about school, and what the letter of the day would be. We were discussing different things that begin with "j" and she said "a monkey tail and a dot" :) Yay! It was amazing to me that her first solid correct identification came as a statement with no visual "j" to look at.

Lissi recognizes all of her letters, but  doesn't yet have the fine motor control to write them. I imagine it won't be long though - she has started to ask me for her paper and markers to color and draw with every day now. Lissi's pre-reading and letter recognition skills are amazing!

It is so amazing to watch them learn and grow!

Sara
