Pre-school

My sweet girl started pre-school this fall... wow! It is so hard to believe how quickly our days together are passing! She attends a small local pre-school with only 13 kids in her class, and a teacher that is oh so sweet! She was a little bit hesitant at first, and had even started telling me she didn't want to go to school. I reassured her each time she said that, but by the time the first day came around I had told myself that if she told me again that she didn't want to go we would just wait until next year. I had always thought that it was a good thing that her birthday was so late, since it would give her an extra year to catch up after being adopted before she started school, but it was clear very quickly that she was right on track developmentally, and would be really ready to go when the time came.  Still, she has this year and next before she can start kindergarten, so I decided there was no rush, but when the big day came, she walked right in, sat down, and told me good-bye! Such a brave and strong big girl!
