Ahh sunshine!!!
We were able to escape to sunny St. George for a few days last week for our Spring break, and it was so wonderful to see palm trees, flowers, and a little bit of sunshine! We got a slow start since our little Sadie was so sick, but it was nice just the same. We started out thinking that we may need to stop at the Children's Hospital, and in fact headed that way for that reason, not sure if there would be a vacation, or a hospital stay, but knowing that if we went to the hospital it needed to be there this time, and after talking with her pediatrician, came up with this plan. Thankfully her medications started to kick in over the first couple of days, and by the end of the weekend we felt safe to go on to St George as planned. Our sweet girl still didn't have all of her strength back, but we knew we were finally moving in the right direction - thank goodness! We spent a lot of time in our hotel room snuggling and watching movies while the other kids went to the pool with Dad (normally little miss S's favorite thing to do!) But I did manage to get her out to the pool for a little bit one day. She even let her big sis carry her around in the water for a little bit :)
The boys had a great time playing in the water
Then the girls headed over to the warm water with bubbles, and found a ladybug! They actually found one in the big pool first, and then this one, and another - three little ladybugs to visit my sweet little ladybugs ;)
And then another!
They actually had found another in the big pool first. Three little ladybugs to visit my sweet ladybugs ;)
Love this shot of my beach boy...
And this one of my sweet girl...
On our last day, we headed to Zion Park where my little guy went for a walk with his dad, and brought me this treasure...
Isn't that awesome?! I love that he brought it back to me :)
The views were breathtaking...
Then we toured the rest of the park by shuttle.
We had our bus to ourselves, without even a driver, since it was two cars long like a train and we were in the back, so the bigger kids went to sit up front after a while, and it was so much fun to listen to them talk and laugh and joke around with eachother! The highlight of my trip, and a memory I will treasure!
Then it was time to head for home.
My little princess in her carriage ;) What a sweet big brother she has!
One last stop in front of the palm trees...
And then it was "Goodbye Sunshine - we'll miss you!!! Please come to visit us soon ;) "
We did get to stop at my favorite restaurant for lunch the next day, and got these yummy treats. That definitely made the drive home a little sweeter!
